“Fight for the things you care about, but do it in a way that will lead others to join you.” – Ruth Bader Ginsburg

Lauren represents clients in a wide range of litigation in both state and federal courts. Having worked as a claims professional for a large national insurance company prior to joining Burgess Roberts, Lauren utilizes her experience in the insurance industry to inform all aspects of her practice, including insurance coverage disputes, general liability, premises liability, construction defect,  professional liability litigation, subrogation, and workers’ compensation. Lauren is admitted to practice in all Alabama State and Federal Courts.

Lauren received her J.D. from Samford University, Cumberland School of Law, where she served as the Trial Advocacy Board’s Associate Judge of Alternative Dispute Resolution and competed as a member of Cumberland’s National Negotiation Team. Through that experience, Lauren gained invaluable negotiation and mediation skills which she uses to seek resolutions outside of the court room when possible. Lauren was also an active member in Cumberland’s Women in Law and is now a member of the Women’s Section of the Alabama State Bar.

In addition to her legal practice, Lauren enjoys staying involved in the Birmingham community.  Lauren served as Membership Chair for Young Professionals of Birmingham.  She also enjoys volunteering with Birmingham Volunteer Lawyers.
